Black Pepper (Kali Mirch) FAQs

Common questions about our premium Malabar black pepper export grades.

FAQ (Fairly Average Quality) is the standard export grade with a minimum of 4% piperine. MG-1 (Malabar Garbled-1) is a premium grade consisting of bold, uniform peppercorns with a higher piperine content (minimum 5%) and superior density, ideal for high-end retail and extraction.
The Malabar coast of Kerala (Wayanad, Idukki) has been the world's benchmark for pepper for millennia. The region's tropical highland climate and laterite soil produce peppercorns with a complex, woody aroma and intense heat that cannot be replicated elsewhere.
MG-1 Whole Peppercorns are best for tabletop grinders to preserve volatile oils. Cracked Pepper or Ground Black Pepper (MG-1 base) provides immediate, consistent flavor release for meat processing, spice blends, and industrial food manufacturing.
We ship in 25kg or 50kg double-layered PP and Jute bags to protect against moisture. The minimum order quantity is 500kg. We provide all mandatory export certifications, including APEDA, FSSAI, and Phytosanitary certificates.
