Taro / Arbi (Colocasia) FROM INDIA

Taro Root (known as Arbi or Colocasia in India) is a dense, highly starchy root vegetable with a brown, slightly hairy outer skin and white-to-purple-flecked internal flesh. Essential to many Asian, African, and Pacific Island cuisines, our export Taro is cured and carefully cleaned of excessive hair/soil, resulting in a firm, long-lasting shelf product with exceptional nutty flavor when cooked.

Sourced from: UP, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Odisha

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Yes, Indian Taro is available for export throughout the year. The peak harvest season, offering the best texture and size, is from August to November. We source primarily from the tropical regions of India to ensure a consistent supply of premium starchy roots.
Every shipment of Taro undergoes rigorous pesticide Maximum Residue Limit (MRL) testing in APEDA-authorized laboratories. We comply with Global GAP standards and provide mandatory Phytosanitary Certification to meet the safety requirements of the EU, UK, and Middle East markets.
We pack Taro in 25-30kg ventilated jute bags for wholesale and 10-15kg corrugated fiberboard (CFB) cartons for retail chains. For international transit, we maintain a strict cold chain at 10-12°C in reefer containers to prevent sprouting and preserve freshness.
Our primary export destinations include the Middle East (UAE, Qatar), the United Kingdom, and Southeast Asia. We supply to ethnic retail supermarket chains, international vegetable wholesalers, and specialized grocery networks.
